Opening Event

God in Genesis

At our Opening Event, ladies enjoyed a comforting and relaxing evening as we took one last look at the Summer. Our tables were decorated with items such as beach towels, shells and candles.

Ladies thoroughly enjoyed our smoothie bar served by Cabana Boy, Chris Ward. We joyfully drank strawberry vanilla, mango vanilla, and other variations of smoothies .

We feasted on a light supper consisting of a variety of soups and salads made by our ladies along with,breads, and of course, some delightful and delectable cookies.

There was ample opportunity for fellowship and fun. and of course, door prizes.

During our program, ladies heard about the activities planned for our year of GOD AND ME in which we will come to understand that "The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." (Daniel 11:32b - NKJV). There wasl also music performed by our ladies and testimonies from the floor.

Our Special Speaker, Terry Gerton, shared with us about how God presented Himself in the book of Genesis. Click here for her handout on God in Genesis, Becoming a Friend of God. We learned from Terry about the progressive revelation of God to Abraham by the use of various names of God.

.The evening was truly a special opportunity to pilgrimage with the ladies at Calvary Road Baptist Church and to learn about our God, to know our God, and to enjoy relationship with our God.
